crustywhip, just buy rims from japan, its way easy and their are lots of good deals.
show me these deals, every man and his dog knows about yahoo japan now, good luck finding nice wheels for a cheap price now! That boat has long since sailed.....
Shipping is not that much, getting parts from japan works out cheaper than buying rims locally
because rims in NZ seem always overpriced
for example:

On trademe:
street fins 14x6.5 and 14x7 for $1000
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 838010.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pair 14x7.5j ssr mrk I for $700
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =296709413" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

whilst in japan
Pair 14x7.5j ssr mrkIII for $164 (plus shipping)
http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e100714378" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or advans set
4x 14x7.5j and 14x8j for $560 (plus shipping)
http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/136587775" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or ssr mark I set
4x 14x7j and 14x7.5j for $15! (plus shipping)
http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g92673437" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Obviously they are all auctions so they still could go up in price (the last link will) but lots don't and there are lots of good wheels to be had for alot cheaper than locally.
And i just looked quickly at yahoojp, good deals come and go.

Ive imported a couple of things through Jesse Streeter who lives in japan, Wins the auction for you and posts it to you for 10% of the auction plus shipping.(if my memory serves me correctly.)
dartsun@yahoo.com.au
I recommend Jesse.

For bigger items that wouldn't fit in the post (like bodykits) i would recommend Grant at Kamikaze imports because he's been bringing a container over from japan to Christchurch quite often. but sometimes he has been harder to contact.

Also adding a little to my earlier point. You cant but wheels in the right width and offset (more extreme) in NZ at all and I'm not going to not buy them so they have to come from somewhere.
