You scavenge some scrap yard to get many of your parts aye? Please save those series 1 (As you call it) diffs too. I can make up crownwheel shims for anyone who need them, and they stopped making longnose R200's ages ago. It's up to all of us to save all the parts we can!

When i say series 2 it means its the later type with the 17mm (M12) chrownwheel bolts.

I can't remember what the first 3 are from but i think different R31s
3.7:1 Series 2
3.9:1 Series 2
4.1:1 Series 2
4.43:1 Series 2 (factory CLSD) R31 RB20DET Skyline Auto
4.625:1 Series 2 Y31 Cedric

There is other ratios in the Series 1 diffs (M10 14mm Head chrown wheel bolts) but i havn't bothered to keep them as i plan on fitting VLSD or HLSD short-nose centers to them.
If i find a Series 1 diff ratio i can't find in the series 2 diff then i'll keep it and shim the bolts.
By the looks of it i just need one of thoes 3.54:1 items to complete my collection then once my car is finished i can start testing to see what will work for me.

Note to anyone buying or getting diffs. Always try get the speedo sender from the box that matches the diff this will come in handy later when you decided to get your speedo to work correctly.
I have a 3.54 in bits if you would like to swap for for a 3.7 or 3.9 ?
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

Scrap yards are the best plus ours is our local recycling place so i have an excuse to go there every Sunday :D

I would be keen on that the only problem is that i don't know if i have a double up of a 3.7 or a 3.9 i know i have 2 of one of them just not sure which one as i can't remember what i fitted to my car before it went into storage.

As for the series 1 diffs don't worry i try my best to get any R200s i find i just don't come across many of the early ones as most cars i come across are R31s. I sold off a couple of the early ones i had (of same ratio) on trade me and other Datsun site, 1 to Aus (for want i paid for them used to have a $50 a diff/gearbox deal with the guy but now all my scrap purchases have gone to $1/Kg which is still good depending on what it is. And im pretty sure that r200s are under 50Kgs anyway.
But i haven't even come across one in the last year at least. As you say they aren't making them any more and they are getting harder to find.

Ive actually brought 2 R31s just for the diffs then scrapped the rest and i still can't find a set of 100mm Bolt spaced R31 struts,
