Well im a fabricator by trade so rust is no problem and there is plenty of people who can vouch for my skill as ive done a fair few rust repairs in the club.
We might have to tee up a time and ill come up and sort some rust out and i can crash at my folks

Sweet man sounds like a plan I'm real keen for that! I hope your not to expensive though? I have a mate that just recently sold his ke25 coupe and is looking to buy that white z18et 1200 off trademe and that needs some sill work to I think, so he could be keen for your assistance to.

hey DatsunNewbee i''m josh's mate that brought that 1200 coupe off trademe, it should get to blenheim sometime soon from the shipping company! i would be keen for a hand too if you would lend one? i have never done any rust work before so it could be a bit challenging haha! how much would you want to be fixed up for helping us out and what not? i should be able to borrow my uncles mig to do some metal plating or whatever!

Congrats at buying a 1200. Be warned though, datsun ownership is VERY addictive. One is never enough!
Please feel free to start a build thread for your cor, and post up a heap of pictures. We like pictures!

cheers for the welcome! i think i will start my own build thread tomorrow after i pick my 1200 up! i've been trying to get this old ladies 160jsss in town for ages! but she keeps saying she's not ready to sell it yet! so i thought i may aswell buy this 1200! the lady's 160jss is an absolute pearla! is it showroom condition! hopefully i'll be able to get it off her sometime haha!

Abit of an update on the 120y.
Have started sanding for the new paint job, but have discovered abit of rust, its quite nasty and I would really appreciate some help and/or advise on who could help me out without breaking my bank account have a mig(gasless) and could get some panel steel, I just need someone with the skills and time.
its in only three places here are some pics of it.
please let me know if you can help in anyway!
