Got all the sub-frame bushings and stuff back in the car.

Man what a difference ! Rear end feels so much more planted and stable, it already felt good but the difference is really noticeable.

Car seems to sit about 25mm higher than it used too which is a bad thing, holey shit the back is high.

Put some Redline Heavy Weight Shockproof in the diff ( this is amazing stuff guys ) and that seemed to quit down the backlash and the corresponding clunk that goes with it. ( temporary fix until it gets a rebuild with LSD )

All in all its a much much happier car to drive :D

I totally recommend this to anybody who really likes driving there car, there is more drive line noise transmitted through the car but the engine/gearbox/sub frame are pretty much solid mounted so that is to be expected. Shifting gears feels more positive and there is no more bunny hop when trying to accelerate slowly in 1st.

I did have a wee mishap welding some flanges into the exhaust for easy removal - bolted them up and tack welded them but they pulled like a bitch and my brand new flange's have a 3mm gap on one side :deadhorse:

So I have decided that having it one single piece isn't such a bid deal and the exhaust shop can weld a new bit of pipe in there for $30 and call it a day.

My Koni Adjustable rear shocks have been sent from the USA so when they arrive I can play with damper settings and really get this baby to rail around corners :D

Unfortunately Have to go to work for 11:30 - 12:00 ish, so what I might do is come along to Chch so I can at least catch up with a bunch of you guys even though I won't come on the actual cruise,

Pretty gutted but i will come along and have a chit chat and a meet up anyway

Man I love this Car,

Measured 0-100kmh last night with a G tech PRO RR Accelerometer

With a shit launch ( 1st attempt ) and quite a slow change for 1st to 2nd

I knocked out a 5.7 to 100kmh, puts me in the same bracket as a 1996 300zx Twin turbo and for comparison an R32 GTR is supposedly 4.8 sec to 100kmh.

I think that with some experimentation and practice a 5.5 or 5.4 is easily done.

I am itching to know the 1/4 mile time now

For reference factory 0-100 for a z31 turbo is 7.1 seconds ( from Nissan ) and reports from people actually doing it are more around 7.5sec

With the Waste gate Held open on purpose ( practically no boost until 5000rpm ) it still knocked out 8.0 seconds 0-100 time

wow, thats impressive for a zed man, well done. now maybe put it on a diet, and screw in some more boost. get it down to 5.0 :lol:

with a tank of gas and me in it, weight is approx 1550kg

no spare tyre or jack, half tank of gas, no trim in rear or front passenger seat. should have your times falling sharply

I need to find that point where you let the clutch out and both tires hook up and shoot you forward.

Now I really Need a Limited Slippy and some clutch frying 255 55 16's for those 16x8's that are sitting stacked up in the shed
