Looking good greg!
Your problem is easily sorted. But camber plates wont be a bad thing. I was againest them for awhile for my wagon but changed my mind as i needed to tuck the wheels into the guards. Also looks cool and helps handling.

Also Jamiesix. Your wheels measure 9 inch with the ruler but they are 14x8?Just a observation

I've got a 15" factory nissan alloy with (I think) 195/50 on it. This might have the same offset as your steelies, and will give you a handle on your gaurd clearance. I beleive that with tyres more is more. Although a proper performance tyre in a lesser width, will shit all over a crappy tyre even if it's three or more sizes bigger. Aside from the possible need for spacers, having wheels with a positve offset does have one advantage. It keeps the tyre nice and inboard from your guards. Then if the need takes you, you could have them widened outwards and still clear the gaurds.

im pretty sure the way you measure the width of a wheel from the inside edge of either side. that would then make them around 8" in width

Stoked to see progress Greg!

It could also be worth thinking about getting the wheels that you eventually want to run on the car anyway. If they have a less positive offset then you will probably be sweet.
I know some might not agree, but I figure if you know that you want to run a certain set of wheels then you may as well set up your suspension around that. This is the order that I did things when lowering my 610 sedan and is what I plan on doing with the wagon.

Keep up the good work! :highfive:

Wheels can wait. Get the beast together, running and certed. Wheels can wait.

Also, where is a picture of your engine bay empty, and the motor on a stand?

Fair enough mate. A nice set of wheels can set you back a fair amount.

Don't know if it would matter but your wheels often get certed at the same time as everything else. Probably wouldn't matter though if you got it certed with the steelies and then swapped to something else. I know it wouldn't bother me.

What struts have you got there Greg? 180b or 200b?

This is an image of the cad drawing that nissanman over on ozdat drew up many moons ago, but was to suit a 200b strut. Easy work to modify by one of the plentiful mechanical engineers you guys have over there!
