Steves (datman310) dad might have one. L esries motors seem to be a bit thin on the ground these days. Murry fullerton on trademe had an L20B and box for sale, but the wanted top dollar for it. Mind you, after you're done with it, it could do supercharged duty in the 510!
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Just looked at a 180b 4 door today that has been sitting under a rose bush for a few years but was going when it was parked up due to rust. Will go there next weekend and see if I can get it to run and if it does you will be in luck lol should not be too expensive

When i was dealing with RB's i used to be able to send whole motors to auck for $100. Mind you that was from a workshop

i have had 3 various BMW gearbox's sent down from Auckland for approx $70 to $90

$400 is the price of a big flash Grunty gearbox itself...
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

Um, he said $400 to ship the MOTOR and gearbox. Not just a gearbox. Still thats too much. More like $300 for motor and box from Auckland to Ashburton.

Gather up the bits you need and pull it out then rebuild it over a weekend then throw it back in. They don't take that much to freshen up if thats what you want to do with it. If your going for the full clean up repaint the block polishing things then maybe that won't work.
What im saying is why buy a new motor when you have one that with a weekends work will be happy as again.
