Just build an L6 up. it may well cost a little more but the performance will be far from average and it will hold its value a lot better with an L6 in it. Just do and l28 bore out if you want to keep costs down. Get some headwork down a ropey street cam and some side draughts or 6x bike carbs and it will fly.

Have you considered the Vh45/50/56 option, V8 rumble modern Jap. technology, I'm not sure how big you can shoe horn in, but there is a nice one on youtube.
