Can anyone help me find this guy

Post by unlimitedpower »

Well i won an auction on trademe and i can't get hold of the guy to complete the sale.

Heres the auction
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =345814174" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Trademe have since closed his account and he had -2 feedback.
I have contacted them and they told me to give up on it and bid on another auction.

(like there's many L4 Turbo manifolds on trademe)
Id really like to complete this sale so i can fit it all to my car.

If anyone knows this guy i would be much appreciated if they could help me get in contact with him.

His trademe username is : datoboi
And his Email is : datoboi@live.com.

If anyone can help me PLEASE PM me.

Thanks
Brett

Sorry but I think Trademe's advice is your only option, I'm a bit cynical but have had dealings with others on trademe that don't close deals when items don't reach a value they expected. In this case Trademe have done something, ie closed the account, often they just say 'tough'. Bad luck for you that you won the next auction, I'm picking the trader wasn't going to complete the deal, and can understand why you would want to, that was a great price.
Despite all the talk about it being a legal contract and all, very little is ever done, which could ruin TM in time. (either they will over legislate, charge bonds, (Both penalizing honest traders like your good self) or the whole thing will go to hell in a hand bag with rip off artists).

Yea i totally see your point,
If i can get in contact with the guy i can at least talk to him and work something out.
If the price is his only concern then im happy to work something out there, I auto bid more than 3 times that amount as i was at work at the time so i have no problem coming to some sort of agreement on price if it leaves everyone happy.

I know im pretty much pushing shit up hill and the worst part is it'll prob show up a year or so down the track on a members car after its been resold and that'll just annoy the hell outa me having to look at it on someone elses car

I hate it when people pull things on trademe !!!!!!!!!!!!

Latest one was some enkei 16x7 trispokes,

I had put a bid on some 2 piece RP01 enkeis , which were in wellington staggered fit 16x7 x 16x8 in 32 offset etc, perfect for the 1600 as alot of the 1600 in oz run them (10sec green one).
However one of the fronts had a lip folded over and needed reparing, Only bid on them cause i was able to find some replacemtents, some 16x7 enkei two piece tri spokes local for $1 reserve. Placed a bid of $1.50 and left it, was still winning at $1.50 - 4 hours to go and the auction got withdrawn.
So had a set of enkeis in wellington i was leading with was only 3 good wheels luckily i got outbid and they went for somewhere around the $130 mark ( bargin ) Gutted as would have been a good set of wheels for about 250 odd dollars.

If you cant handle giving it away, dont list it up $1 reserve in the hope you get millions for it.'
