Jordans 120y

Post by ginga-dato »

Hey guys,
I've owned this for a couple of years and have been slowly doing things to it. Finally put my rims on that iv had sitting in my garage for a couple months. A bit of an upgrade from the steelies. They are konig rewinds 15x7 and im running 185/55's on them. Shes looking a bit more tough now and gets alot more looks from people. So far I have lowered it 2 inches with blocks and springs, put in a couple guages, new steering wheel, sounds, 2 inch exhaust with a 3 and a half inch tip. Bought a worked A14. Heres the list of whats been done to it:
Block: A14
1.00mm oversize high comp / flat top pistons (77mm stroke 77mm bore)
Lightened & balanced crank with modified oil galleries
Lightweight lifters
Lightweight flywheel ( includes balanced heavy duty clutch assembly )
Fast road camshaft (3000 to 8000rpm range)
ARP rod bolts
Heavy-duty timing chain
Adjustable cam gear (kameari engine works Japan)
Whole rotating assembly fully balanced
New oil pump etc
Also has a Custom winged sump
Cylinder head: H89 ( High Compression A15 Head )
Ported intake & exhaust ( ports have been matched to gasket and ported for flow rather than size )
3 angle valve seats
Up rated valve springs
Planed for compression
Polished exhaust ports and combustion cambers
Ignition:
BPR7IEX NGK PLUGS
PETRONIX ELECTRONIC DIZZY
8MM TOPGUN LEADS
GT40 COIL
SET OF EXTRACTORS/ FLOWS

Just picked her up from the mechanics who has put on a set of 40mm twin dellorto carbs on. Took a couple of pics to show everyone
Next is going to be the panel work. I'm an apprentice panel beater so what better car to learn on then my own.

I LOVE that factory orange on the 120Y as well as the factory minty green.

PLEASE don't repaint it any other colour 8-)

Awesome starting point.

I vote original colour....just my 2c worth.

I never used to think there were many orange cars, but now I've seen quite a few Datsuns in orange. Cool.

This is a cool looking car, is it still around? I love the wheels they really suit it.
