180B Offset Strut Tops

Post by Mikewazowski »

G'day team, I'm looking for a set (or two) of offset strut tops to run in my 610 180Bs. I'm not sure exactly which 180Bs came with the offset tops but they remove the inherent positive camber that some of the cars have.

Here is a picture of some of the tops in a car, showing how the shocks ends up pointing inwards instead of straight up.

I called up the Mount Shop but they reckon they only have 910 strut tops (which they reckon are the same as 610 ones). They couldn't tell me whether or not they are offset though.
Does anyone know if 910 bluebirds had offset strut tops? I would have thought they would have had longer LCAs so wouldn't need them.

910 strut tops are different they are offset but the bolt spacing is offset, so not what your after.

Was looking at those HSD kits, but decided I won't do that for now because:
- probably not going to adjust height anyway...just set and forget
- once I end up paying for cert it ends up being way more expensive than simple coil/shock combo which will suffice

I will probably go with camber plates if I can't find anything else but again:
- don't want to have to get cert for them
- don't really need to dial in much camber, just want to fix +ve camber and the factory fix seemed good enough to me

What's the deal with camber plates on top of datsun/R31 struts? I've only really seen camber plates used on top of coilover struts, can you still use them if you have spring which are the standard diameter?
