alloy radiator for datsun 1200?

Post by project_1200_ute »

hay there im getting gilmores made up for my a15 in my 1200 ute at the moment which is cool

just wondering cause im keen as on a alloy radiator at the same time while old one is out!
does anyone make 1 for a 1200? i heard ya can use honda civic ones but might require moding and wont look as mint?

ive asked on maddat to see what price they can do one for so well see

also has anyone with gilmores used original fan?
or is it worthwhile geting an electric fan? old radiator has a temp switch dont emagine the alloy one will and
dont want to just wire the fan to a switch

please send us some advice boys?

take a c20 van radiator to your local radiator shop and match it in size with an alloy one that they will most probley have on shelf. I also highly reccomend talking to Brent (fast4motion) I think is his name about gilmores

I made gilmers for my A15, and used the original fan. It worked fine.
I was planning on swapping to an electric fan, but never got around to it.

A Sunny radiator will also fit easily and provide suitable cooling (and Sunny hoses will fit straight up), but the C20 radiator is better.
