Problems with the s110
Right my 1982 s110 180sx which i brought just after xmas is all back together and ready but now the l18e engine wont go, it has spark, power and fuel to the injectors but they arn't pulsing. is there a fuse somewhere controlling this or is there any other reasons why it won't go. Any help would be great.

Re: Problems with the s110
sounds like the injectors arent getting any power
a mate had similar problem on a z18 transplant into a 910,
injector ballast needed a constant power supply, after that it started straight up
may be a loose wiring connection. im guessing the l18e is the standard engine?

Yea the l18e is the standard engine, the injectors have power but arn't pulsing, where abouts/which wire do you recon would be loose to cause this.

Do you know where the injectors pick the pulse up from?

Re: Problems with the s110
these older ECU's pick up their pulse signal from the coil.
As these are "fuel only" computers, they batch fire the injectors (I think), so the ECU doesnt need to know at what degree BTDC that the engine is at like more modern ECU's.
So these ECU's get there pulse input from the negative side of the coil, just the same way as you'd wire up a tachometer in a single coil car.
If the ECU is not getting this signal, it will think the engine is not rotating, and therfore does not require any fuel (no need to pulse injectors).
That sounds like it could be the cause of your no fuel!
check this connection......if you cant figure out which wire e.t.c.....then I have a L18E loom at home, and I think I have started on a wiring diagram for it, so should be able to help you out there
