death of the 120y?

Post by Hey-mish »

hey everyone, as some might know i lost compression in one of my cylinders in my green 76 120y awhile ago, i took the head off this weekend and found a rather nice piece missing from an exhaust valve, and a very visble sign of rings being absolutly shot.
parentals would like me to see the 120y off, but as everyone is with their datsun i am attached to it.
i have a 140j project that i need to finish so you will not see the 120y around for quite some time. still undecided on the fate of the 120y it will most likely go into storage,

will try put up a photo of valve when i can, i dont come online very often

If the body isn't real rusty, you just need a new engine.
FFS, someone sell this man a replacement engine!!!
Someone must have a mid dizzy A12 in working condition they can sell Hamish? Who's gonna be a GC and help out a fellow NZdatsun member????

Hamish doesn't log on very often, How much do you want for it? If we can find a means of getting it down to chch I'm sure a team of datsun fiends could do a motor swap in less that half a day.
