hey just got the net on.. other weekend i put my 5speed in thanks to brendon putting it back together..
i had to buy a reverse light switch for it from repco cost me a bit of $ i had it out when was changing the gearbox over an m8 came over an distacted me an now iv lost the switch..i hadnt put it in because was going to get in the way when fitting the gearbox up but betime could do that i dont know where it is.. does anyone have one they wana sell? or know where to get one apart from local shops ordering then in their diffrent to the 4speed one (4speed the lights are on when its in neutral) so that cant work.
yay found it.. cleaned my garage fully out an found it in a box of stuff lucky i looked thru it before threw it out..
only thing im stuck on now is the clutch adjustment,is their any way you can put the thrust bearing an peice that holds it in.. the wrong way around or something?

yeah the poxy dogleg switches work back to front. I once owned a crusty old 310 coupe which some old person had fitted a really annoying reverse buzzer to on account of being so easy to hit reverse by mistake. After I fitted a 4 speed, the buzzer was buzzing in every gear except reverse. (Including nuetral)
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

lol oh no that would be annoying but yea it wouldnt be a bad idea but im getting used to the gears its gearing down i have trouble..
only been for a few short drives i need to adjust my clutch a bit more because its out just of the floor an the rest is play but it seems like the adjuster ya pull it an you can see the arm where it hooks onto come in more sorry dont know how to explain it but im wondering it i couldve done something when put the new thrust bearing in?
apart from that its allgood i like it just got to rember to not sit in 3rd thinkin im in 4th lol
