Hi,
I want to find the right person who wont make me sell my kidney to get my bumpers straightened and re-chromed to make them MINT.
I don't want any dents in my bumpers and grill.
So ideas on who to send my bumpers to please.
Also I am gonna get my draglink rebuilt. All Parts can send it away to invercargil for me and have it rebuilt for ~270 including postage each way. How much is one new or who knows other places or prices. I think this sounds cheap enough. No worries there just curious thats all.

Im gonna jump in here before anyone else puts my name forward. We do chroming but bumpers are an issue as there is a lot of prep and care needed to make them mint, not really worth our while either. There is a place in Timaru i think unsure of the name right now but they would be better for bumpers and things. We mainly do industrial type stuff and we have had trouble with bumpers in past like chrome peeling off. So yeah sorry i cant be of more help but i can try and find out the place for you if you like.

Shiney Bits in geraldine do pretty top notch chroming. I don't know if they repair bumpers, but a phone call will let you know for sure. They do lots of of work for car resto.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

HBI Engineering should be able to do the draglink, they are next door to my work on Epsom Road. They are modifying some control arms for me at the moment.

You are probably thinking of Either Shiney bits or Timaru Chrome Platers.
I am pretty sure my car restorer mate Hadlee uses shiney bits.
Was out at his place the other day and saw a full chrome set reconditioned for an HQ wagon he is doing a ground up rebuild on, and the chrom was better than new, absoulte sexy immaculate and blinged. but the bumpers and chrome restore process was in the vicinity of $2K
Timaru chrome platers quoted me a while back $500-800 to recondition a basic front bar (1200) so my US$275 + delivery for brand NOS one ex: Japan was the preferred option....

Thanks for all the answers so far. See the chrome is mint on my bumper, it has some ripples near the corners. So in order to straighten the bumper I am sure it will ferk the chrome. Hence needing to re brome. I am sure the 1600 bumper ex Japan will probably cost me a fortune....
