Once real work is a go I am hoping to put the vehicle into storage off-site, to keep it more safe, secure, and have a place to work on it. As it is, can't do much work in our poky single car garage or outside due to space constraints.gingofthesouth wrote:crustywhip wrote:Hey Brassy

What part of town you in? I'm in Mairehau and have a good bit of pip you can borrow if that is close to your part of town. Try giving the wheel nuts a smack with a hammer directly on the end to shock the threads, before you try turning them, this can make them easier.

Re: Braasy's Datsun 1200 (B110) 4 Door Sedan
So, after nearly a week of starting, finally managed to get the wheels on. Numerous pictures are as follows:
They look pretty sweet. Now that that is all done, can hear that something is rubbing. Was going to take her for a test ride after a few months of non-use and the hopes of a WOF and Rego tomorrow. Sadly the sun is going down so won't be able to check it out till tomorrow however it doesn't quite sound like rubber on metal or metal on metal. Hopefully it's nothing major but was sure the fitment should have been fine. I did notice however that the car appeared to have been lowered a little when I first purchased it, perhaps some new suspension or some spacers may be required.
If anyone has a garage pit, hoist or ramps, I'd be keen to get under her properly. Otherwise, might see if any mechanic types might be available to troubleshoot further onsite. First things first though...car wash
Regards,
- Braasy

Cheers for the offer Sorry about the late reply but missed your post. Anyhow, I am based in Addington so not quite round the cornerclassicdat wrote:What part of town you in?
