WTB Datsun Roadster!!

Post by lord_anubis16 »

hey guys,
Ive been searching here in australia for a datsun roadster with no luck so i thought id widen my search area...
Im after a datsun roadster... preferrably a 2000 sports but would be interested in anything if its in a reasonable condition.. Im wanting it as a resto project so it would have to have as little rust as possible and be fairly complete.
Im happy to organise all the shipping etc.
Price will vary on the condition it... no more than 15k though.
Let us know if you know of anything, just not having much luck here in Aus.
thanks

Thought you guys had heaps over there? Pretty rare to find a tidy example in NZ but they are still around. Now we got that out of the way, hows about sending some of your women over.

I agree!
There is about 1/2 doz known in NZ.
A few of those are leftys too.
There was one on trademe about a month or so ago for sale that was a fresh import from Cali, From memory around the 10-15k mark needing work.
Good luck with your search bud.
Id swap a few aussie woman for one :)

Craig Gilbert had that Roadstar for sale, looked pretty cool, here is another one of his listings you could contact him thru.
He also imports cars from the States, so may be able to source something for you ex: California

He wanted far too much for that one though - I landed my one here a few years ago for under $5K and that included the US$750 to ship it from Arizona. There are plenty of LHD ones still coming up on EBay and average ones are still under the US$5K mark, good ones under US$10K. We have worked out how to convert to RHD but you do need a RHD steering box and dash and they aren't easy to find - took me 3 years to find the ones I got.

There are (were?) about 10 original RHD ones in NZ and I know of 4 other LHD ones as well as my own.

And by the way they are Roadsters not Roadstars.
