Right, it's been a little while since my last update so here is some progress:
Firstly I have trimmed up the water inlet and the block breather. The water inlet chop was to try and make room for the sc12 however I still couldn't make it fit, even if I was to run the supercharger intake out of the inner guard and put the air filter in the wheel well behind the headlight. It was just too tight between the engine mount, the water inlet and the chassis rails. Instead I will put the alternator here like the old a12's. The block breather has been trimmed because otherwise getting the extractors through is a challenge. In fact the R411 (sports model) took the collector out through the inner guard to clear the steering box and floor pan (in the US model). The rack is still a pain in the NZ model.

Here are a couple of shots of the car with some 15" steelies (need 15"s to clear the brakes)
Here are some pics of the brake setup. The discs are from an Evo 1-3. The calipers are twin pot's from an AE111. It will be really challenging to fit them without it hitting any of the suspension setup at full lock. This is true from much smaller brake setups too. I may need to look at different caliper options to get a smaller profile (depth and width) on the back of the caliper. The discs were chosen as they are vented, 4x114.3 stud, have a low hat profile (compared to others) and the centre has plenty of meat so it can be turned out to 73mm.
And here is a shot of the brake booster I will use (from a 610). I will have to make a customer spacer to clear the 410's accelerator mechanism (which I would like to keep original)
And finally a wider shot of the engine bay. I have put an old FPR in place where the old fuel filter was as I want to keep this somewhat original in terms of placement. The FPR will be replaced with a subtle nicely mounted one later.
Apart from that I have just been trying to plan our the intercooling and radiator setup.
Everything with this car has been far more challenging then I thought. Previous projects such as KE30's were much easier because there were lots of well know options.

I must admit, never really been a fan of these BUT yours is changing my opinion. Please please please keep that original duck egg blue colour - it definately the best colour for this car.
A real work in progress project , this is what I love most about this site. Variety and people thinking outside the box - doing something different with something different.

Thanks for the comments, definitely a bit of a slugfest right now, but slowly working through things.
Regarding the colour, it will remain close to the original, probably just a little more updated.
Plan is to try to sort out the front suspension soon, which will then allow me to complete the front brake setup

Just a very quick update with a picture of the extractors I have been making. None of the off the shelf ones are even close to fitting because the inner guards, the chassis rail, the steering rack and the firewall so I had to make stubby ones like this.

Early days and dunno your plan, but just a thought. wouldn't worry about cooling lines for throttle too. I normally block it off and seal it up. Then can just adjust with screwdriver idle speed.
Cold normally 200rpm less than hot.. no biggie.
