The 'What I did this weekend' thread

i thought this would be a good thread to get going just to see what everyone got up to the weekend.

ill start it off.

well this weekend was started with a cruisy morning at work. after what seemed like a long day, i decided to make the most of the good weather and headed out to catch up with some mates and have a ride on my bike. was good to get out and catch up with guys i havent seen for ages.

saturday night was spent with some more mates having some quiet drinks. we decided to play 100 shots in 100 minutes, and i can advise you that beer is the worst choice of beverage to do it with. had to give up after 30 or so shots with a really bad urge to throw up. its a lot harder to do than the name suggests

sunday was another sweet day weather wise, so went to 'church' and chilled out side with some cool dudes. after a short sermon i could up with some more mates who had decided to take a drive over to akaroa for the day and have a ride at the skate park. weather was mint there and after a good ride we headed back to chch. on the way i detoured over gebbies pass, and i cant say what an awesome feeling it was being the only one on a deserted road, with the sun going down on the horizon.

what an awesome end to a sweet weekend. hope i get more like this

Saturday morning...
Slept in a bit, Tidied up around the house and visited some buds in the hood on the raliegh 20, Got home and the mrs wanted to go shopping. So we took the newer pin striped scooter to riccarton mall. Got me some skinny bogan black jeans and her a black leather jacket( Bikers now gotta have the gears)!
Then got home and popped around to vety and done a two hour rust job on her old mans shitter commodore! Ahh soo rusty
Watched movies with a friend at home and relaxed
Sunday...
Slept in..... Then out to the garage bout 10am and me and Brendan tried to get my Chopped scooter going. No spark. Maybe pints. Having issues tho. Left it at home and took the striped scooter to man church. Meet all the boys and a new fulla at speights ale house. Then rode with the gang.me,luke,andy and new guy josh back down blenheim rd! Owned the whole road all the way back to hornby! Soo many people checking out our scooter gang.
Procedded to have a 8 scooter park up at my place where we mucked around on them and had yarns. Then rode of to another guy off oldschool to see his bike. I crashed doin max doughys in the gravel. Then rode home after short yarn and pull ed the diff head out of 521 with brendan to do a swap with dimitry only to discover what we thought was a 4.1 in mine is a 4.8 H190!!!!
So now on the hunt for a 4.1 to swap for dimitrys 3.7 to drop the 100kmhr revs in my 4spd 521.
Then had pizza and now searching ebay for C50 points/gaskets/rings!

Bring on next weekend where i roadies down to nvers to get rowdy with some hot rodder mates!!!real rowdy!!

Might as well ad mine
Friday night I helped mate with his mk1 cortina, Spent an hour looking thru buckets of nuts and bolts to fit gearbox to engine. Couldnt find any and he got sick of me telling him that metric is the way so gave up. Got more dirty with out acheiving any thing.
Woke up on his couch saturday morning, Played some forza on his 52inch then went to work and did study till 3pm.
On way home stopped and seen mate played a game then home and did study.
Later, caught up with another mate, played a game went to super market and seen other mate so thru stuff from other isle at him, had some drinks then watched 75% of movie.
Woke up on his couch sunday morning, had a cup of tea and went home.
Once home I fixed sisters alternator, topped up her fluids and took photos of wheels I need to sell. Cleaned datsun, fixed carb and seen another mate who has a few cool toys. Got T50 yoke and went to ex mrs to seen if it fits my T50 box, It did so Im happy and got to see my little man.
On way home stopped and seen mate again, played other mates online and got arse kicked. Left un happy.
Got home and its now evening and another busy week planned.
Spent $40 on gas, $20 on beers and $4.40 on lotto ticket.
Next week have no work and will have my boy as well as studying for exams.

Man you guys do heaps on your weekends, I feel like such a lazy bum (because I am).
Saturday slept in till about 11, did washing and shopping and other mundane stuff, then had a laugh trying to figure out why my QT50 won't run for longer than a few seconds with GC Steve. After draining stale fuel and sorting a bit of a blockage went to town stripping it. Then it got cold so I went inside and drank beer.

Sunday was spent at church and then more QT50 action - chopped my bars up and drilled holes for the slugs to be fitted for when I make my ape hangers. Then it got cold again.

So jealous of you QCR's with working scooters rolling around terrorizing the streets. Couldn't get a ride out to Brendan's, but I'll try to attend the next 'build day' and get some much needed scooter parts.

Friday night
called in to see my Dad on way home frome work at his local (bowling club) had a couple of heinys' and shot a few frames of pool
Cooked up some mean eye fillet steaks for tea, and washed down with yet more heiny.
Karen had a bit of an early night, so I cranked up the fire, dropped a sneaky $30 on my full-tilt poker account, pushed the 2 seater up to my 46" TV, and hooked up the lappy to it, and ran 4 tables of holdem' at once, whilst listening to pink floyd and then some Muse, and knocking down a few Baileys on the rocks while I was at it.

Saturday
Got kids organised for their soccer, and took them out to Point for their games.
Went home and met a young guy who drove all the way from invercargill to pick up Mums shit box DX I had on trademe 2 lunchtime.
I had soccer at 2pm, we thumped a young school team, and I got my first hat trick at the ripe old age of 35!
Took a few of the boys from our team down to the pub afterwards and shouted a round.
Takeaways and a few beers on the way home at a mates house. Takeaways were near cold by the time I got home = trouble with Mrs...
Watched a movie with the Mrs, and had a couple of beers jst to ensure I had fully rehydrated after my run round.

Sunday
Took kids to McD's for brekky, then took them for bike rides down the bay, it was a nice day down here
bit of shit done around home, after got groceries and all the fun stuff
Brought a drag link, and link rods and ball joint set on an ebay auction
After that I helped Simon do a disc brake front strut upgrade on his 1200 deluxe
Couple of beers, and watched the Crusaders get robbed by those queensland buggers

well boys and girls, sat was spent dropping the daily honda people mover at the outlaws for storage, then checked over the motorhome ready for traveling, sun morning got up about 8.30 (= sleep in for people with kids) made pancakes for breky pushed a couple of buttons to wind in the slideouts, got behind the wheel of our v8 16ltr house and set off into the sunshine bound for Hanmer, as i sit here writing this the weekend for us is still continueing and will do so through to xmas, thinking of all you hard working gcs as we continue to live the dream of doing nothing much.

i was pretty much a sack all weekend. Pretty much just sat on the couch all weekend touching myself. Did sweep the floor of the garage and did some casual grinding on my datsun for a couple of hours. That was only to trick myself into thinking my weekend wasn't a complete waste

my weekend consisted of going to my parents down in geraldine for a bit of night shooting and having a play on my flat mates new motor x bike. geraldine does get boring pretty quick but managed to shoot a few rabbits and have some fun in the mud with the bike! no work on my car though ..hopefully this coming weekend

Saturday morning I shot round to a mates house too hopefully watch an arborist fall out of a tree (which didnt happen) after the arborist went home we drank coffee pondering what the V8 in his garden came out of and what it might fit in. If I had stayed any longer it would have been mocked up in his ride on, to prove that it will fit.
Afternoon I dont remember.

Sunday around with a stupid solex carb, drank heinekin almost set ute on fire when checking the float level affor mentioned carb, drank more heinekin, polished the rifle, then went to bed.

thread bump.

i know the weekend is not over, but fuck it, im wasted, so deal with!, friday wasspent with my old man and his mrs having dinner for her birthday. all i can say with regards to this, is that the yellow Vietnamese curry is fucking fanastic along with the fried pork balls as a starter.

sat morning was spent helping my old man service my heat pump and fix some dodgy wiring around the house.

sat afternoon consisted of getting the engine ready for installation of the engine into the laurel, followed by a committee meeting. sat night involved catching up with what was happening with the youtube gaming community and having a few drinks(1 L of jim beam + coke)

let me know what you guys got up to. gives me something to rear when i get home from a shit day of work during the week
