L series TIMING COVER Think 4 cyl and 6 cyl are the same?

I would prefer one without paint on it/Can't be bothered spending ages cleaning it off (going to use that one whilst painting block if I find a tidy as one.)

There is likely differences in the timing covers. Leppa and I tried to fit the timing pointer off his L20B to his L20et C31, and it didn't fit.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

From what I've read only L20 covers would fit as the other blocks (L16 & 18) are different heights?
Early L24s and maybe some L26s had the timing pointers on the opposite side.
