How far are we talking?
Myself and others have found that it's not uncommon for one wheel to stit further in or out than the other. I'd just chalk it up to below average jigging when the car was built.

my sedan was offset to one side by about 10mm, fecked around with it to try and get it right, or pre-load against the preferred side, but it would just go back to where it was happy.....

some more updates got my adjustable kit fitted just needs to be welded
progress is coming along good just trying to sort out another wheel option as my other wheels dont clear the adjustable lkit
