Suspension for my 1979 b310 Sunny

I am at a complete loss here im getting alot of different opinions from people what would be my best options.

pretty much the top 3 are r31 struts, s110 struts, and 910 Bluebird.

could someone in Datsunland inform me what would be the best option. they will be shortened and adjustable coil-overs but just don't know where to start from. Please Help :)

R31 is probly the most ideal, they have the shortest factory strut length at 400mm, you most likely wont need to shorten them compared to stupidly tall b310 struts.
R31 struts have a horrible disc hub setup though, the disc is part of the hub assembly NOT separate. R31 brakes are larger diameter than 910 and S110.
If youre lucky enough to get R31 turbo struts, they have a slipover disc to hub setup, and have 100mm caliper spacing so you can fit 4pot calipers!

910 struts are taller than B310 (checked as I was gonna use some 910 shocks in B310 struts, not gonna fit!), they have separate discs and hubs though.

S110 struts have solid discs?? If so, then they arent gonna be near as good as the above options.
S12 struts and brakes are identical to 910, so am pretty sure that S110 is solid disc.

Ive got a set of R31 struts, and incomplete 910 struts, will probly use the 910 set in my wagon as its an A15 daily.
If youre going out on on your B310, use the R31 struts, fit 910 hubs and slide on some S13 turbo 280mm discs and calipers with adapter plates 8-)

Another thing to keep in mind is what size wheels you want to run. I'm using R31 struts on both of my 610s and a 14" wheel is as small as you can go. Unless you are going to be running some really serious power I wouldn't worry too much about trying to source turbo struts or replacing the standard disk/caliper setup on the R31 struts since your car is quite light and the standard R31 brakes would be a significant upgrade over Sunny ones I would imagine.

You could you the struts you have and buy a coilover set from these guys.....

Then you just get them fitted to your struts.

cheers for all the help. im going to put 17's on it so clearance will be sweet. what do i have to change to the r31 struts to make fit much at all?

My flatmate has a B310 sunny that recently seized a wheel bearing. The whole shaft is a bit rooted now and need to find him a whole new strut. Anyone know where I could get one? I have new bearings and don't need the brake calliper or any of the control arms.

Early or late sunny buddy?
The early and late ones use a different brake set up, and I'm not sure if they actually use the same strut of not. I found a sunny once that had the same steering arm bolt spacing as a B110/B210.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Umm its registered as an 83 and the chassis number is PB310B65811 some I'm not too sure I think its a later model perhaps you can tell me?
