looks awesome! Its not just a 1200 issue, every solid axle Mazda I have owned has always had the same problem.
Thats odd your wheels don't fit the adjustable set up, heaps more clearance than factory spring cups of hugeness.

Trim spring and wind up so its not so close to wheel. Not the best option but works. 1200 coupe on trademe looks to have the same prob.

Re: Jays 1973 datsun 1200
spent the night in the shed making the lines to the oil cooler, engine bay is looking great
one one problem with having the car that low is that you cant get a normal jack under it so have to wait for the low profile alloy jack to turn up
will post pics soon

You know your on to a good thing when you have to use a scissor jack to get a low profile trolley jack under.

Re: Jays 1973 datsun 1200
some pics of the custom oil cooler set up,
with the oil cooler set up i have done away with the standard oil pick up in the block and now it picks oil up from the side of the sump and then goes through the cooler then returns into the pump through the fitting welded to the side of the pump that is drilled into the main feed to the oil pump. the only thing is that toy have to boost your oil pressure
