Cheers Bart and Brendan for your input. Any feedback regarding ceramic coating and/or heat wrapping? Wanting the finished product to not look rusted out once the paint burns off...

I brought a second hand set of flows that were painting in high temp flat blcak, were on my sedan for about 18 months, and still look tidy, and no rust coming through. the orange coby paint doesnt last long, so you would probably be best to sand blast and paint with decent paint before install IMO. I personally brought a roll of exhaust heat wrap frpm repco on special that I will be fitting in my coupe, to keep tidy, but more so, so I dont overheat my inlet air charge, given I will have unfiltered ITB trumpets a few inches from the flows.

Yeah I was going to do the same regarding heat wrap, so will just get some and give it a whirl (I am into how the finished product looks in the end) Cheers for the input Kitch, can't wait to see the Coupe up and running!Kitch wrote:I brought a second hand set of flows that were painting in high temp flat blcak, were on my sedan for about 18 months, and still look tidy, and no rust coming through. the orange coby paint doesnt last long, so you would probably be best to sand blast and paint with decent paint before install IMO. D2's are a better header. D1's clear in sunnys, but foul on the idler arm in 1200's.
You can grind a single inlet manifold to clear the flanges on the D2's. Although you have twins, so it most likley wont be an issue.
This should be a pretty tight 1200 when it's all finished.

Re: Braasy's Datsun 1200 (B110) 4 Door Sedan
Need a 1200 ute crossmember to finish dropping in my new/rebuilt A15 and 5 speed gearbox. Anyone able to help or point me in the direction of a semi-local supplier/contact? Cheers.

I've got a spare one which has been freshly blasted and powdercoated, couple of minor scratches around engine mounts.
Just not 100% sure I want to sell it yet....

Why would you tease me so?! Quite keen to snatch it up if it is available, just advise your price...Kitch wrote:I've got a spare one which has been freshly blasted and powdercoated, couple of minor scratches around engine mounts.

If that one isn't available, I may have one in the garage (not as good condition).
I just can't remember if it is from a 1200 or a B310.
