Gingofthesouth's G521 ute

Post by gingofthesouth »

So now that my Nephew and I own this ute, here are our plans:
Datsun008.jpg
The my little pony unicorn will allow us to go places the Datsun ute just cant get to. That will be most places since we don't want to get the chrome rims we so love dirty......

Ok actually, I think I better start my own build thread for this 521. Real plans are to do the cab swap properly and finish it off. Panelbeat it straight and paint it the original blue. Add some widened steelies and get the new tyres whitewalled (once we put 2000 km on them, otherwise the oils leech out and stuff up the white colouring?). Of course find a well side for it and a primo front windscreen plastic visor :P These will be done over the next couple years. The imediate future is to get it safe, fix up all the abortions on it, get it certified and road legal.

Started with 5 new steelies and tyres:

The build will be predominantly funded by my nephew Josh in Australia.
Josh, my brother Les and I will definitely be coming to Akaroa this year whether this is going or not.

Since this truck has been to akaroa before, it'll be a candidate for most improved.
