So far, welded 2 blanking plates in an electrical cabinet for work so it can be used as a tool cupboard, got a partial loom sorted so I can start re-wiring dads trailer tomorrow.

The other side of life Leppa;
Friday night cooked for, and supervised, my daughters party / sleepover. Sat morning coaching and watching kids play sport. Cook lunch, head off and help someone shift house, Taxi kids, get tea, watch Thunderbirds with the littlies and put them to bed. No Datsun work in there, but the 1200 did get a good work out, and although to you young guys it may sound like a boring day it was very satisfying.
That said I did get the Zed out on Friday for a car display at the local school, good fun, and great just to drive it again.

Thursday niight buildup-
Had classic car restorer mate Mush over and we gapped my panels. That involed some welding to build some edges up and grinding some edges down due to my rear quarter replacement

Friday night - Had my Hornby Hoodlum mates over and we smashed down a old kitchen cabinet in my garage and moved a much larger cabinet from the back room into the garage and that cleared heaps of space and allowed me to store heaps more inside it out the way
So got a bit more of a garage set up goin in which makes me happy

Saturday-
Did the lawns as they were so long. Reveled in the glory of our new chimney,Thanks eqc! Just waiting on fire as the $300 oil column heater bill is getting a bit beyond a joke
Then out to the garage. slightly distracted by Andy Gal my QCR bud turning up with a mate on a sweet A50 cafe' racer
Back to the cars
Josh and gal were on the sanding blocks on the wagon, I cut a front section of sill i did a sub standard repair too. Folded a new half sill up and wiht some help from Josh welded it on.
Then Joe turned up and we had 4 of us sanding the wagon back and panel beating and boggn!
Did this for quite a few hours listening to all sorts of music up loud and a few old crows gettn consumed
Finished up bout 530 and i brought some pizzas for the boys.
Sat down inside and watched some nitro circus then back to the garage and welded 3 conrods to the the 13L straight 6 crankshaft that leppa gave to me the cut some sweet old wood up and built the bar in the back room of the garage,
Spent the rest of the night drinkin old crow listening to flattrakers, kings of leon, black keyes and leaning on the bar reading old US Hot Rod /Playboy mags
Primo nite!
Now off to the riccarton market to find some more neat old shit!

Friday Night

Finished work, off to Missus Parents for Dinner, had a good catch up with them and got a free feed of Chicken. My missus Sister has a kid i suppose you could say my Niece she is 3 so i figured 3years old is about the right time to corrupt a kid with lego technic and she loved it.

Satturday

Got up missus took me out for a coffee and breakfast at the cafe and that totally rocked, got home worked on the 300zx all day. watched like 4 hours of Mythbustes TV series while i was doing some washing and cleaning up the house. had a few Coke n rums and went to hit the Hay.

Sunday

Mega sleep in, log on to All my favourte Internets forums and read about other peoples busy weekends.
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

Sat: Woke up, got new stereo from missus for my birthday so my good 1 in the garage doesnt get wrecked. Cleaned house, went to coupelands for savouries, Countdown for cake mix, scratchies & lotto, stopped in for bourbon too.Swapped flat mates coffee table for the crap table in the garage...Got bored waiting & watching south park so I busted out the vivids & 'tagged' up shit coffee table.
Image
People started turning up...got pretty 'awesome' on the bourbons...watched my mates imatate the 'twang twang' invisible pads ad on TV...found tampon on just opened can of Beam...Played Mexi's with shots of Jonny Walker...Mini pie fight...Someone pulled out a deck (male) nude playing cards???...

Sun: Clean up...find nude penis cards everywhere in draws, shelves & all over the floor

Im switiching this up a bit!
The" What i did this week " thread for now

Monday. Get to work Boss says to me. Chris have i got something i spotted on trade me that will get you excited.
Shows me a auction for a Lloyd 600 engine. Now over the past few months of playing with scooter ive wanted to build a bigger bike and also a older bike.
Ive wanted to build a bobber(check google if you dont know what that mean)
So the boss reckon this would be perfect. Its out there and it will look awesome in a bike frame! Now i didnt know anything baout bobbers but i was about to find out alot more over the last 5 days.IIn this time i discovered the boss was building a 37 chev wintage speedway car. He was getting given a body but it wasnt complete. What do you know i have a 37 chev grille and engine covers in my garden. Offer them to him and he said yup $500 ! Sweet im gettn there for the $700 engines
I think it was wed night after 3 days of pining over this engine i couldnt afford that i visited my grandad. Now he knows everything about old stuff. Coz he 's old
Nah. He in the vintage bike and car club. Has a 1952 AJS whcih of whom who have meet me know i have it tattooed on my arm with my pop standing in front of it. And also a restored 1924 Dodge Truck. So i rock up and ask him what he knows about Lloyd engines. Ah he says. Runs off to the back room and pulls out his old photos. Low and behold 3 photos of his TQ speedway car from the 60s. Running a Lloyd engine!!! Now these engines are 600cc Aircooled OHC Paralell twin. They are from a German micro car!!! So he has thing in his race car. I ask how did you hop it up. Ford sidvalve V8 pistons!!! And a toyota downdraft carb! As he worked at Toyota at the time and you just make do with what you got back then.
Thurs morning. Rock up to work with the help of nick m with 3 photos for my vintage speedwa pining boss. and 37 chev engine covers.
Then the boss takes me off after lunch to look at a caravan, Nope no caravan where we went, Just some old piner with 1/2 doz 37 fords/chevs/chryslers and more vintage speedway parts than you could imagine. Also a bunch of old bike parts. Now this old guy knows my grandad and was tellling me heaps of storys of his hay day andd showing me photos!
Now i was pining so hard i was struggling to sleep
Fri rolls round. Juts found out i got a payout from designline and got enough coin to pay for the engine. After a magical week i dint kow how it could get better. Then Rob turns up, He is a mate of my boss and also knows my old man. I mention to him im building a bike and ive tracked down a engine i need to buy on trademe. We had already talked earlier and he said he got a very rare rear wheel for me. A sprung hub triumph wheel!. So he turns up with the rear wheel, A old trumpy front wheel. And then a 1939 Triumph frame i can borrow to make a jig off!
Awesome day was then topped off with a visit from a old fella from dunedin whom josh teed up a meet. He procedded to yarn about 1200 2dr wagons as he had one he is rebuilding. He releived me of some parts i no longer needed and gave me some cash to make me feel better :)
Then 9pm rolled round and i won the auction with no inteferring bids! $700 later i now won 3 Lloyd engines
Im so excited i didnt sleep much.
So now im off to get them. Gonna ring my grandad and see if he wants to pop around and check out my scores for the week.
Also gonna primer the wagon today too! Such a awesome week!
