Yeah Tony, it was that UKstar fella, he was real good to deal with, very polite in correspondance, and was not keen to send to NZ, as he said it takes over a month by postage, but I am fine with that. He seemed genuine - so thanks for concurring with that.

Update of whats been happening the last couple of weeks:
> brought a set of red anodized alloy bump steer spacers out of the states
> Brought a new pair of horns for it
> Had my diff, driveshaft, sway bar, steering arms, fuel tank and the likes all sodium blasted
> Received my NOS badge from Kuwait, turned out to be the rear badge not the grill badge - even better!


> Brake parts; new master cylinder, new handbrake lines, and just had my Nissan brake callipers overhauled by CBC in Chch (awesome fast turn around - great service)


Spent a couple of hours today, positioning the diff, fuel tank, gearbox & dumby block, so I can sort out new gearbox mount locations, panhard rod mounting, and fuel pump mounting. Also wanted to check wheel clearance, with my new lipped guards, and the roadstar diff with 7" mags.

Been doing a couple of hours last night and an hour tonight on the coupe, sorting out fuel pump and panhard rod fitment, also stripping down rear brakes & brake lines etc as diff getting primed tomorrow.

Underneath, all repaired, beaten and primed (bit dusty in photo) Couple of little touch ups & some small body fills left to do, then on to giving it the full underseal hopefully next week


Decided its too much of a hassle to move gearbox mounts back 50mm, so have modified one side to clear reverse switch


Since rear end will be going back in once and for all in a couple of weeks, time to complete my purchase of nolethane bushes
rear leaf springs being dispatched tomorrow for reset and extra leaf fitted (Thanks Bede for advice/confirming my plan here)

Were you able to find bushes to fit the top mounting points of the front leaf spring hangers? I gave up and just made bushes to solid mount mine.

just read whole thread. your fuel injection setup looks super tidy, far more flashy then my setup. should be fun wee car when all built, some trick bits in it. your panel beater looks like an on to it dude, those rear guard lips are bloody choice.

keen to check this out in person one day.

Anyways, update today - I have the car primered!!!

The boys ended up stripping the Durapox off it, and taking back to bare metal before applying the new Primer of the paint system they are working with (Dupont).

Few minor repairs left to do underneath, then will have underseal applied early next week.
