Re: Datsunboy's KP510 SSS Bluebird coupe
All right i want an optical dizzy now looks easier than the other way i was going to go about it.
Hopefully i should be able to look at getting onto my engine in about 6-8weeks car should be back by then and i should have cleared out paying for the wheels any other little bits and pieces i need to get done first. So if you or anyone else stumble across one let me know.
Most annoying thing is i probably had one of these i sold with a hole pile of L20ET crap i had when i stripped an R30.
Can you post up the numbers from the side of your dizzy then i can go hunting.
I can't wait till you fire this thing up for the first time is going to be can you take some more photos of your intake manifold etc. What injectors have you used?
Brett

Re: Datsunboy's KP510 SSS Bluebird coupe
Ill have a look at the numbers for you later.
I used the factory l18e manifold and injectors. With the ca18 throttle body.
I had the l18e injectors flow tested at 3 bar and they were 210cc

Ah ok sweet that should be plenty enough for an NA application. Wounder what the Z18ET injectors are if i decided to add a turbo latter down the track.
I had a mate with a Z18ET who fitted Evo 5 injectors took a little modification but was do able.

Forgot to mention, to anyone following this dizzy mod thing.
You need to flip the CAS disc over when moving it from the CAS to the dizzy.
the holes should go from smallest to largest in an anti-clockwise direction

Re: Datsunboy's KP510 SSS Bluebird coupe
Whoop whoop!
After months of trying, I have finally got it to run!
It idles pretty good now, but won't accept any throttle...but that's just a tuning issue (basically running stock ca18 maps).
So I have finally proved that its possible!
Unlimitedpower....I'll take pics of the setup for you over the weekend

Re: Datsunboy's KP510 SSS Bluebird coupe
yep, exact same setup that wa on it when you were here.
all I did was change the spark plugs.....then it ran, but pulsating....turned down the idle, and now it runs sweet.
Thanks to Hayden and Vaughn for their help finding the issue!
