After a number of phone calls to and fro, I am beaming to report that I have been able to secure the use of the Akaroa recreation area! The french fest aren't going to be setting up untill the wednesday after our event. The booking was made like two years ago. So I asked a lady from the CCC Events team to cancel their booking for the rec area for the sunday.
We've also got the sports complex at the end of the rec area booked too. Whilest I'd prefer not to use it, this does give us a place to chill if the weather turns really nasty. And given the unpredictablity of the weather, it could be 40*, and snowing on the same day.

sorry guys we wont be coming just put my entry in for the waimate 50. (mayde next year the cruise could head south.. great racing all weekend cool cars on show, may also bring members up from further south) just a thought...
