Re: Steering/Suspension Problem
Does the clearance change when you jack the arm to it's normal operating position? How much of the head fouls at full droop? Going by your first pic it looks like it is going to be close.

Re: Steering/Suspension Problem
these are on the 610 parts car, obviously minus the struts.
tried to get some of the coupe, but to hard to see with the struts and backing plates in there.
so what you're saying is that the outer 2 ball joint mounting bolts are coming in from the top? if so, cant you mount them from underneath like the pics?

Re: Steering/Suspension Problem
Going by your photos Craig looks like iv got ball joint on wrong which is why I'm having clearance issues. Tried to remove steering knuckle so I could put the ball joint in the right place but ended up smashing my pinky when I missed the ball joint splitter with the hammer. So will have to try again once it's all healed oh the joys of working on cars!

Re: Steering/Suspension Problem
I don't use a ball joint splitter.
Just get two hammers, and smack the steering arm either side similtaniously. With the nut backed off, but not fully removed. (To protect the thread if/when you miss)

Re: Steering/Suspension Problem
If you get it off Greg, we may be able to run a die nut over it to fix the thread.
