Ok.. so the wheels have been test-fit without tyres and here are the results...
Looking pretty nice but...
Might just be a bit too wide?
Any ideas? I'm thinking it may be a long process getting them sorted.

Dad recently replaced the struts in the rear, does that help? I'm new to the workings of cars sorry

Mad stretch? Or machine a bit off the backs of the mounting flanges depending on how thick they are?

Also 195/45 is a good sized tire for an 8 inch rim. I run 15x8s and tried 205/50 and then 195/50 before settling on 45s.

Confirmed with Dad that it's a live rear axle. Struts, shocks and coilovers. Wheels are ridiculously wide on the car, gonna try roll guards enough to prevent tyre damage, and then attach bolt-ons if they fit.
