WTD: S12 Gazelle/Silvia rack or 910 rack

just found the power steering rack in my S12 Gazelle is naffed.

dont have time for a rebuild before Nizfest, but i do have a manual rack.

problem is the steering column input shaft is different, and i cant use my existing one

what i need it the short section of shaft with the U/J on it that goes from the steering column to the steering rack.
MUST be from a non power steer model S12.

does anyone know of, or seen one at a wreckers anywhere?

any help to find one would be much appreciated...

If you trawl back through the Trade me tread on here I think you'll find one advertised, I think it was for parts, might be a lead?

if it was the sky blue one with front left damage, from the south island somewhere, i'll pass.

he ripped off a guy i know up here, and is trying to go through disputes at the moment to get his money back (hopefully):evil:

i keep an eye on trademe most of the time, but they are getting hard to find now, especially manual rack models.

I think from memory it was a real light blue, lift back one. With hubcaps

What's the difference between them? Would a manual steer 280ZX be close?

the "spigot" spline coming out of the top of the rack on the power steer rack has approx. an 18mm diameter spline,

the non power steer one is more like 14-15mm spline.

after a bit of research, it "seems" a 910 bluebird rack may work.

anyone got one sitting around anywhere?

Hey vegie, I have a spare S12 rack but it is power steer, you can borrow or buy it if you like, you can finally get that ps pump I've been holding onto for you too.
