There might be Bart but its a prick of a job to get to the oil and water lines off the turbo was hard enough getting them on when the motor was on the stand.

The 180 is now at Dans house for wiring big thanks to Hayden (Kartboy) for picking it up on the trailer and dropping it off at Dans place. Took diff out this morning will get that cleaned up and assembled while the car is away.

If you can't put the spacer before the Turbo, what about after it rotating the dump pipe toward the motor and move it back at the same time, could be like a wheel spacer in design, looks like you have clearance to the fire wall.

That sounds like it could work! And would be much easier to do. The studs on the back on the turbo are quite long so should have plenty of room for a spacer. Will try and get in touch with Nick or someone to draw up a CAD drawing. Cheers Vaughn :D

Why not chop it off at the flange (turbo end) but chop a wedge out of it so that when its welded back up its pointing in the correct place. Prob wouldn't take much by looks of it.

Probably would be fairly easy, but I do like the look of it, and think that welding might ruin that look.

Yeah i've also thought about cutting the 3 bolt flange off and welding some extra tube on so that flange clears everything it fouls on.

I would avoid any cutting and welding of that dump pipe like the plague, it's stainless steel so it would be a lot of work to weld it nicely, then it would have to be pickled again after welding and repolished, by then all the extra heat input would increase the likelihood of warping the flanges and possibly cracking further down the line. If you decide to do the spacer bit and your oil and water lines don't fit then I can make up new ones for you for cheap (compared to retail anyway!)

Argh i really dont know what to do then! Taking the turbo off when its in the car is going to be such a mission i really cant be arsed, no way im taking the motor back out either. I can always come back to it later as there other things i need to do in the meantime.
