I live in Christchurch, or Datsun Central New Zealand, it's not uncommon even today to see a 1200 out and about, (I drive mine daily as do others in the club). Last year we had 50 Datsuns on one cruise, 13-14 were 1200s. Our population is about 450,000, or was before our recent earth quakes.

Re: datsun 1200 sedan [Rocket rice]
Hi Darren, I see the problem, the right hand side is way too high!
It appears the rear springs have lost some of their 'Set', this is the curvature that sets the cars height. Leaf springs can be reset, and this is the best way to lower a car, as it reduces the leverage the torque has over the rear spring on acceleration. A black smith should be able to reset them for you, or and engineer may know of someone locally. When I had mine done I told them how much change I wanted and they came back set to that height. So if you want the same height as the right hand side you let them know which one to match up to. When I did mind I also had another leaf fitted, increasing the stiffness, if you are getting the setting done, this might be an option too.
Hope this helps

Re: datsun 1200 sedan [Rocket rice]
Thanks for the update dude.
Its awesome to see datsun alive and kicking in other countries.
Just to see the style and culture people from around the world breath into the same cars we see.
Keeps the pictures/uodates coming because I enjoy seeing threads like this one.
