Well if he gets it for that amount then I think he is 10k short of what it is worth.kartboy wrote:my mate is top bidder at the moment, hope like f that he gets it. but he is a tight a... so maybe not hahagingofthesouth wrote:Oh shit, if I had the money right now I would be owning this no matter what it ends up fetching.

I see an Iron Mask on there too, is the DR30 considered more desirable than the HR30? Other way around, or each to their own?

Re: Trademe/Yahoo Japan Auctions
Its the Dr30 thats the most desirable (well at least in the sense that those who know what they are will spend more money vs those who want an HR30).classicdat wrote:I see an Iron Mask on there too, is the DR30 considered more desirable than the HR30? Other way around, or each to their own?
The FJ20ET powered GTRS has race pedigree, a more powerful factory engine, LSD, electrics and all the nice trim. The HR30 had a shit engine, rubbish brakes, no LSD, no nothing. It was the no frills version.
Also, finding a mint GTRS is very rare.

I'm going to throw a guess out there that it will go for between $6k & $7k, most of the people that want cars like that don't have the money to buy them.

I think its worth around 15k (I would happily pay that if I had the money right now instead of sinking it into the 1600).DJZ wrote:I'm going to throw a guess out there that it will go for between $6k & $7k, most of the people that want cars like that don't have the money to buy them.
I am assuming it will go for closer to 10k

Yeap, I'm only guessing. I remember another DR sitting on Trademe at around $15 - 16k for ages and ages, my mate paid around $10k for his iron mask DR30.

Re: Trademe/Yahoo Japan Auctions
So what is the difference between an Iron Mask DR30 and an Iron Mask HR30?

Re: Trademe/Yahoo Japan Auctions
You can't get a factory iron mask HR30, that's a DR30 and that's the expensive one I was thinking of.
Basically:
HR30 = L series powered
DR30 = FJ powered
Basically:
HR30 = L series powered
DR30 = FJ powered
