So both bearings are the same? From what I can read on the left hand one it's a 6206 which is a very, very common bearing.

Just asked my mate at Repco, he can get the bearings overnight at $10/piece.

Thanks for that. Did you just ask for the 6206? I found this on another site for the 311s which uses the same kit based on the timken site.

"The OEM 6206 bearing, as ordered by the part number in the service manual has a 32mm bore, so you can't just buy a standard 6206 from the local bearing shop. The bore on it is 30mm. So the above find is not such a direct replacement. Moral of the story the $8.00 off the self 6206 will not replace the OEM 6206 for $50.00 and change. I thought about removing this completely but thought it better to leave for documentation. Thanks go to Geoff for discovering this rather major issue."

So if the repco one is just a 6206 it doesn't sound like it will work

Ah, well that's a horse of a different colour.

You are probably best buying the OE ones, I just rang Saeco, they do list them as an "auto special bearing" but no stock in the country.

That sounds about right. Sounds like they're the same bearings as the roadstaar H165.
I've been down that road before. I think I still have a pair of bearings with the wrong size bore on the shelf in the workshop.
I'll get the number off my spare bearings that I have in the shed. And get you a a price from my mate at wilson bros. (He'll probably be at a BBQ I'm going to tommorrow)

I think I got the last pair for around $40 each.

Hey Jeremy,
I just thought I'd post this pic here for you. It's of the plates I welded to either side of my handbrake cable thingee to suit the U13 cables.

Obviously I've gone back to the original handbrake cable when I abandoned the disc set up. But with one cable each side, the bridle/2into one bit ataches to the factory cable connection. (although the lenth might not be bang on for your car)
