WTB CA18DE(T) ECU

Post by unlimitedpower »

Im after a CA18DE or DET ECU i don't care if its Auto or manual.
Would like a DET ECU as that would save me haveing to rewire my loom to suit the different impedance injectors the ECU requires.
Its got to be cheap and working condition. But i am willing to pay something for it.
Can be FWD or RWD doesn't matter.
I just need it to test a fault i think i have with my current ECU (dead injector driver).

If anyone has one lying round they don't want let me know.

You don't need a det Ecu. Just either run a resistor pack or don't depending on the impedance of your injectors

Yea i know ive just wired in a resistor pack though. I hate doing shit twice didn't want to have to un wire it. Guess i could just fit a plug and bridge the 5 wires together in replacement of the resistor pack.

All my injectors fire except Number one. And i have good continuity at between the injector and ecu plug etc. And im sure Number 4 is firing twice. Spark seems to be somewhat even and consistent though.
I could just send my ECU to you for testing purposes i guess 8-)

Haha I don't have anyway of testing them.
Both det an de ecus have the same injector drivers inside them.
So you would still need to either run a resistor pack or not depending on your injectors.

I still need the trailing arms :(
But im still keen for one.

I kinda see your point. DE ecus use no resistor pack and DET ecus do, And the run different impedance injectors.
So the DE ECU will do the job nicely will just as my injectors are matched to my resistor pack which is already wired to my loom.

Good news for me.

I won't be able to get a hold of any hubs for a while as they are at my parents place quite a drive away.
The arms i have at home but they have been sitting out side with no bearings in them so might only be good for mock up purposes.
