LD20T manifolds and turbo

Post by dat180 »

Hey chaps. Just got an L18e, wish it was a L18ET hence wanting the LD20T manifolds and turbo.

Build your own manifold and run what turbo you want to.
Ive used the LD20 Manifold and its not easy when using anything other than very small turbos. For example a T25 won't fit unless you use an external wastegate (which means hacking into the manifold) and also a custom dump pipe.

I don't think they are very easy to find either never really seen one advertised here in NZ.

If you do find one and don't have a turbo i have a couple of turbos and a dump pipe that will bolt up and work with the L18E manifold LD20 manifold combination.

Thanks Brett. Am looking into the LD20T-II options but I believe the exhaust output to be between 1/2 which I believe would be to far forward.

And Brendan, only in my dreams...

Its not the forwards backwards part its how high it sits.
A T25 touches the intake manifold. (just well heat shield anyway) and T28 would be way to big. No room at all for an internal actuator.

T25 would be find by me, Custom job may come further down to track if the power isn't enough.

Even if you use a T25 you will have to move to a external wastegate. There a nice little area in the center of the manifold where you could bore a hole and fit one though.
There isn't any room for the internal waste gate actuator to fit under the manifold even if you were to move it round there still is no room for it to fit.
