We have all done not so clever things

I took off down the road in my Z without latching the bonnet properly , flew up on me doing 80kmh. It was fine on the back rural road but it would have been quite a problem in a built up area.

you might like to get a torque wrench ( dosn't have to be fancy as long as it works and is calibrated ) , its nice feel that click-click and know you have done it up nice and solid.

And as you do more and more things on your 280 you will use a torque wrench more often saving on any second thoughts of "did i do that up tight enough"

Good luck dude, nice to see the car survived mostly intact

If you want to buy, borrow or get a torque wrench calibrated let me know, it's part of what I do for a job.
