looks like we had a web crawl recently and the forum now shows up in web searches, so SWEET

google and most search engines don't really care for meta-data in the head tag anymore. It's more about search rankings, the more people that link back to this forum the higher the site will rise up the search results.

It's not just that. You want to get other sites to put a link to nzdatsun.com.

The more sites that are inter-linked, helps you rise up the google ladder. It's one of a few ways to improve search bot ranking.

A tip, all you fellers that have an account on other forums, put nzdatsun.com into your signature using

[ url=nzdatsun.com]New Zealand Datsun Club[/url] (without the space I put at the front, so it shows like this;

Hit the nail on the head. Obviously sites with more influence (other sites linking back to them) have a greater impact. So a link from a large website or forum carries much more weight then a smaller websites link.

You can also upvote a search result in google (little up arrow). The more people do this the better the search ranking as well.
