WTB: Datsun 240z S30, or C110 Skyline project - NI pref

Hi Guys,
Know a fella that's after either an S30 or C110 project. Wants a complete shell with reg on hold preferred.
Wants to spend under $3k (Is this the right sort of coin for a project S30?)
Rust/dented/bad driveline all ok.

Lemme know if you know of anything.

You would be extremely lucky to find a project S30 anywhere as low as $3K. It would have to be incomplete, really rusty and probably no mechanicals. A 260Z 2+2 maybe though.

You realise we're in 2012 now right? The rare and desirable Datsun models are getting worth silly money.

You would have better luck with a c110 . They really aint worht a great deal. Ive seen plenty on trademe over the last couple years goin for under 2k needing work
S30. yeah good luck. Its alright if ya wana build a ratty one with no chrome or interior and badges. Also seen a few in the 3k region

I highly doubt you will get a C110 for under 3K. The price of them has shot up exponentially in past couple of years, and agree with others unless you want a rusted out shell 3k is not going to get you a S30

If you are still looking I have a 76 S30 2 plus 2 project for sale. It is a JDM car so is badged as a Fairlady rather than a 260Z. It is 99% complete. It has been in storage for the last 10 years or so. We got it out last weekend and got the motor running on very stale fuel. I would advise anyone interested to have a look first as it needs a fair bit of work.
