Datsun trailing arm irs camber issues

Post by mark105 »

So I have a c110 that I want to slam but I also run semi slicks on it a lot and chewing them up due to excessive camber is not that appealing. So what's available for a c110? And does any one know if the 510 stuff will work as that is pretty readily available. I haven't had much luck finding much for a c110.

I guess what I'm asking is, is doing something like this the only way? Or is there other means like these so called camber bolts which I have been told about.

I was looking at these ones for my Z, still might end up with the MSA kit at some stage but at the moment I've just raised the car enough so that I have 1 degree on the back. There are plenty of opinions on what is good and what's not, apparently these ones below can slip so people tack them into place.

It doesn't specifically say 280ZX but the Whiteline website says that the original bushes are the same for 1600, 180B, R30, F30, S130, 240K etc

There is also the MSA kit which requires drilling of the control arms by the looks of it.

ahh thanks, those would be what i am looking for.

although i have found this kit on datsport also
http://www.datsport.com/adustable-rearxmember-kit.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and due to me having a spare rear cross member, this might be a better way to go if the camber bolts can slip. looks easier to setup when on a wheel alignment machine also.

Wasn't Bart working on some adjustable crossmember gear?

I made one using the Adjustable Toe bolts that i had from a spare cross member, with tabs welded onto the camber side

It doesn't seem like there is much adjustment , but i am still to install the cross member and try it out
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

I am going to get copies laser cut up from the datsport kit if any one wants some to make an adjustable rear end setup. I have decided I'm going to go this route now instead of the camber bolt option seeing as I'm going to do a bit of motor sport and don't want stuff slipping.

FYI its not the camber that chews out your rear tyres its the massive toe change that happens with semi trailing arms setups. IE the more they squat the more they toe out. So sort out your rear toe and camber will get it handling a shitload better
Yeah pretty much the best thing you can do is one of those adjustable rear subframes cause at least then its fully adjustable and it wil really sort out the rear end
