Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
The only part that requires any experience is the correct order for reassembly.
Also If I were you I'd be geting all your nuts and bolts zinc plated before you begin reassembly.

Also fitting the right strut on the right side might need some experience, this might be one of those 'you don't know what you don't know' things that can be daunting. Have you got a manual? Bart you might know more than you give yourself credit for.

Of course I do. I was down playing it, rather than blowing my own trumpet.

Drop Greg (Datto_610) a line regarding plating. He's done a lot of stuff for plenty of the guys, and you can check out Kitch's coupe thread for proofluke wrote:@ nick.......i have 1200 service manual already lol but thanks anyway nick, also big thanks for the rear quarter window!!!

Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
mmm shiny....
I'm thinking I should replate some of the stuff in my 1600 engine bay. Otherwise going to look stink with oxidised dirty parts on bright shiny new paint. What sort of investment would be required to plate a pile of bits like that out of interest?

Much less than you might think Morgan. It's about 15% of the price of getting stuff chrome plated.
Luke, you're in sydnham somewhere aren't you? I could swing by one arvo after work and take a gander at where you're up to.
