Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
yea pics when i have them back!
meanwhile,
impulse buy small progress with primering up struts, and the other bits i cant name. bought some new wheel studs today too, anyone have an idea how to get the c#nts in?? they are 0.1mm/0.2mm bigger than my stock ones in terms of diameter??? but are mega long so will just cut them down to suit.
and soon after i finish writing this will go down and take pics of the already primed/painted steering arm bits.
plus all going well some topcoated struts and the other things from pic above.
slowly getting there.........

Thats 8 hours.
But after a Painfully slow start to the year, things are beginning to pick up. I start at 7am. And my prefered to finnish at 6pm. Unfortunatley, there are times when external factors of the job exclude me from working late.

Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
Good work Luke.
I used R32 GTS4 brake callipers in mine, and reused the Skyline wheel studs to get the extra length (think they were about 15mm longer). I have a supercheap auto el cheapo shop press, that I used to push studs in and out. but have also just whacked them in and out with a hammer too !
note that I used a wrong wheel stud in my (was about 1mm over size) and when I tried to press in, i ended up splitting a hub!!!

Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
cant recall how long my studs were, probably around 45mm??
they are perfect length, once you sleeve the 255mm rotor over them.

Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
big thanks to jeremy for monday night, and the other nights he has tolerated being around me with my "help".......
struts are now fully assembled and in, as is engine crossmember and hubs/rotors/stuff ....and other bits i dont know the name of, hopefully this weekend all going well and provided i have everything ready...... steering can finish going in, and wheels can go on, and engine can go in, and i will be happy!
