I brought it off tradme AGES ago it was the largest pack i could buy think it was round $360 or something but it was a long long time ago. I don't think i'll get much more than this as i know it won't be enough to do the whole car but should help out alot if put in the right places. Going to do the fire wall and floor then left overs can go in the doors. (if it will stick to all the rust treatment that is). Im planing on building a rear firewall behind the back seat out of some alloy or thin panel steel and lining that to. Should keep any fumes down and drop the noise a bit.

Cheers for the tune i'll talk to you more later once i have mine set up a bit better and ready to run. Mine will be a bit different to yours but if i can get it to fire up and idle my mate can tune if from there piece of cake.
What injectors are you using? Im thinking of swapping to CA18DET injectors away from the VR4 ones to make it easier to fire up. They are just alot harder to find.

Scroll up a few posts you'll see the wheel choice there. That may change later down the track if i decided to do a 5 stud conversion when i do the diff swap. Just cos i can.

I deleted the guard mirrors and the aerial so really want to go with some door mounted mirrors or maybe some really cool guard ones. Aerial will prob be some sort of internal one crap for signal i know but im really keen on keeping things symmetrical.

Ahh the arm burn. Should be sweet fit with the 7 and 8 and the offsets. Aerials have come along way so you will find some thing to suit. I love hockey mirrors as they give you a good line of site down the lanes.

Sorry about your arm dude.

Good news is it healed great. I did something stupid years ago, coming back from a party, opened my radiator while hot and did same thing on my arm.

Drove to the ER and got some cleaning and oinments on. Learnt my lesson.... the hard way. Now there is no evidence of the burn, just a few freckles on it.

Excelent paint job. I dream of doing something like that to my 710.

Are you turboing your 140j? What about the FI, I would like tohave FI in my 710. Here where I live 710s did not come with FI set ups, only carbureted.

Let me know about your FI setup.

Following your car, I am your car's newest fan !

Cheers.

Yes the plan is to turbo the L18E engine that i have and run it off a CA18DET ECU.

Turbo i plan to use is a T25G from a Silvia.
Have added L20B pistons to the L18 block to give a lower static compression ratio. I prob didn't need to do this and it'll prob just sap my off boost torque but hopefully it'l still be nice enough to drive off boost and nice and punchy on boost.
The T25 is a fairly small turbo so shouldn't be to much off boost anyway.

Been focusing on putting the shell back together so not really any updates on the engine side of things. So much money needs to be spent now to keep moving forwards on the project. More Dynamat, new carpet, the list goes on and on.

Still tossing up the idea of tinting the windows or not.
What do you all think. Would be a very light tint if i was going to do so.

I'll do another update a little further along. Once i get the dynamat and all the stainless trim grill and lights in etc. So atleast it will look more like a car.

I'm a fan of tints. Just not the real cheap horrible stuff. (Or appliing them either!)
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
