Removing bearings from rear axle

Will have a bit more of a play with it soon. Just trying to sort the bearings thing, which it isn't the best time of year to do.

Just been doing some more work on this and have found a nachi bearing kit that looks like it works. As per the picture below, the new kit comes with a collar like the one to the left of the picture, which isn't stepped. Currently the car has a collar like the one to the right of the picture (which is stepped). Does anyone know if using a non-stepped collar will cause any issues?

Prob is I can't find a stepped one. The only things I can think not stepping could affect would be oil seal, or seating some how in the axle. Any body with a 1200 and H165 used a similar kit to this?

I run un-stepped lock collars on all my datsuns atm.

Thanks Bart. Just went and did more measuring etc. and I really cant' see the point of the step unless it is just to create a secondary oil seal or something. Anyway, think I will just go the non-collared and hope for the best!!

Just working out if I can get the front bearing seals out now without damaging them.
