Re: James 85 ZX - So Close to mad camber & slammage
from what i have read on oldschool, having pretty any amount of camber is a no no. apparently your car is not allowed to have any more camber that what it had factory.

Ah Rats
Plan was to send it in for cert at Track day Auto X ride height so I don't have to get wheel alignments every 5 minutes.
I suppose as long as i Stick to something like 120mm ground clearance and maybe 2deg front and rear that should get me through.
When your mate failed how low & cambered was he ?

The new rule is no more than half a degree more neg than the maximum range was in the factory specs.

OE Front 0.5833 Max under new rules = 1.0
OE Rear -1.9167 Max Under new rules = 2.4
Front is kinda weak, I think i can make do on the rear though.
Cheers for the heads up guys, saved me falling flat on my face on inspection day

Quite recently. Is cos of all the fags with rwd nissans running 123456789 degrees camber, and crashing.torqued wrote:WTF.....When did this come into play... and for what reason?

Cletus (The tame LVVT certifyer at OS) said it was bought out at the most recent training day.
Kids also mentioned that his g/f's Dad (Wayne Martin) also told his this.
It's only an issue for cert. Get cert, then crank that shit up hard. Kinda like getting a wof, then refitting the uber low springs.

During my apprenticeship the first thing we were told was disregard factory spec and look at the was the car was wearing tyres. as it more related to the drivers driving style

Just reading up about it now.
Heres a link to all info http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/infos ... _Guide.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So in theory when I lower my 180 and have heaps of neg camber will I need to make an adjustable rear end for cert?
