Got pulled over for the second time this week. The 1st time I was a suspected looter, the second they checked my ute out.

The u bolt ends were exactly 100mm fom the road. 1 mm lower and I would have been stickered. The cop didnt know what he was on about, said as soon as i get a load on the bolts will be below 100mm.

I saw this ute out in Darfield today, you drove past my work a couple of times.

Looks sweet in the flesh ....damn low too.

Cheers took the deck sides off so it looks a bit lower.

I sold this and its in Wellington now.

I have heard of this other ute trying to roll like the cool kids, havent seen it yet, hope to though.

Cop was right as soon as you get a load on the bottom of the bolts will be below 100mm.
Add load you add compression to your tyres this will drop it by 1mm :badgrin:
But hey you could always pump them up a little more

He was right but i agree still prob didn't know what he was talking about.

I cut the bottom of the bolts of as they were quite long so that got it up above 100mm. Never got pulled over after this incident. I think the flat deck made it look like a farm truck to the police.
