Is there any numbers on a dogleg box that can make it easy to identify?

Yes, if you clean it up it will have "63A" on the side of it somewhere, it should have quite a smooth casing (no ribs) compared to a 71B 5 speed, which is the normal H pattern box.
I have a (supposedly) good condition 63A long tail going cheap in Masterton if you need one.

They usually have a smooth bellhousing and a unique shifter. If you can post pictures of either I can probably confirm visually.

Ok cool, I gather long tail and short tail is referring to the length of the box?
Ill try get some photos up, but I do work till 5 - 530 most days and its in a un-powered shed.

That dash is the JDM spec one, the gauge cluster doesnt fit any of the other 610 dash's. Got one for my sedan a while back but wouldnt fit my dash so got the early style round gauges instead. Very rare and if you sold it would be best to sell the whole dash assembly.

Well if there's any requests for parts, it's all up for grabs!

Regarding your gearbox, this is my old build thread which has pics of the dogleg 180B box and a normal H pattern 5 speed side by side. The shifters look the same on both boxes.

Cheers John! That's made it easy! And once you see one, won't be hard to spot another...
I won't get time to get to my shed till sunday arvo.
So If anyone want's photos of specific parts etc, let me know by late saturday night (I'm be going straight to my shed. not home to the internet lol)
Ill take a few of it anyway, as I have cleaned all the rust and crap out of the interior.

If you do want to sell the dash and gauges etc Im pretty keen just let me know. Otherwise Im after a demister relay if it has one should be under the dash somewhere I think.
