H165 Diff WTD

Post by b110sss »

Hi Guys, I'm after an H165 complete diff. If anyones interested in doing a deal I'd look at a swap for a 60 series H pattern 5 speed that I have as a spare failing that a cash buy is fine.
PM me if you can help.
Cheers

I assume you mean an H165 from a 1200 ute Dave? Don't forget they were fitted to other cars too.
Have you considered an H190? There a cost associated with having it shortened, but with an alloy center the weight is little if any different to an H165. Plus factory LSD's for them actually exist, and you'll have a better range of options for smaller gears too. (4.11 and lower)

Just food for thought.

Bartman, I think I have H190 out of a older D21 navara. Do you know of any LSD centers that will go into the housing?

I think I have this diff? H190(ML) (12mm ring bolts)

I think (Don't quote me!) that the LSD center was an option in the front diff of some 4wd 720 utes.
I'm led to believe that there are at least two different splines on the h190 alxes. From what Andy Gal (Z181200) found, the C20 Vannette axle splines are different to the splines found in the H190 LSD units. So I'd assume that the 720/navara etc axles would have the spline you'd want to have if you're shopping for an LSD. As far as I know, Andy found his center in Japan.
